Description of Ebook:

Created in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution, Geography: The Visual Encyclopedia explores all aspects of our planet, from the North to the South Pole, from outer space to the fire section and from natural processes to human impact.

Discover terrifying earthquakes, gems, and hurricanes that could destroy buildings. Understand how the weather works, what causes the seasons, and the power of water to create the appearance of the earth. Explore life on Earth, with countries and cultures from around the world. Full of facts, maps, descriptions, illustrations and photographs, Geography: The Visual Encyclopedia is the ultimate guide to our world.
As I go through the beautiful pictures in this book, I am reminded that the world is a wonderful place. It is unique, amazing and awesome. DK always does an amazing job with a photo presentation, and this book is no exception. Take a visual tour from the beginning of the solar system to the rocks and minerals, water formation, climate and climate, life on earth, the human world, and mapping the earth. Every photo, image, and map comes with a little information. The country facts file summarizes all countries of the world by providing facts about each location, demographics, currency, currency, official language, a period of life, and details of the accompanying image. Glossary is included in possible unfamiliar words. I’m always curious about new places and excited about photos from different places (I might want to go there someday), but not all photos offer that information. Another thing to keep in mind is that this is from a worldview; ideas as truth is common.
